The Cisco QSFP-40/100-SRBD compatible QSFP28 100G-SRBD（SR1.2, SR BiDi） Optics is specifically designed for 100G high-speed Ethernet multimode links.

Featuring a VCSEL transmitter and a PIN receiver, and operating at a wavelength of 850/900nm, this Optics utilizes an Duplex LC multimode connector to deliver high-speed 100G transmission and exceptional reliability over link distances of up to 100m (OM4 MMF). It is an ideal choice for short-distance, high-speed transmission applications within data centers and enterprise networks.

It supports DDM/DOM (Digital Optical Monitoring).

Technically, this Optics functions as two independent 50G BiDi channels operating at opposing wavelengths.

The two primary advantages of the 100G-SRBD Optics are:
1. This multimode 100G optics utilizes a Duplex LC interface rather than an MTP/MPO-12 interface. 
Consequently, when upgrading existing 10G or 25G multimode links to 100G multimode links, no recabling is required—a feature that saves significant time and labor costs.

2. By utilizing a multimode MTP/MPO-12 to 4xLC breakout fiber cable, this Optics can be paired with 400G SR4.2 Optics to enable 4x100G SR1.2 Breakout applications (acting as the breakout-side Optics).
