The Cisco QSFP-100G-DR-S compatible QSFP28 100G-DR1 Optics is specifically designed for short-distance (500m) single-mode links, making it ideal for short-range 100G interconnects in data centers, enterprise networks, and telecommunications carrier environments.

Features an EML transmitter and a PIN receiver, and is equipped with a high-performance Broadcom/Marvell DSP chip.

Operating at a wavelength of 1310nm (single-wavelength 100G 1310nm channel) and employing a Duplex LC/UPC single-mode connector, it provides point-to-point connectivity over link distances of up to 500m (using OS2 SMF fiber with FEC enabled).

It supports DDM/DOM (Digital Optical Monitoring).

Furthermore, thanks to the single-wavelength nature of the 100G-DR1 standard, it can be paired with a 400G-DR4 Optics to enable 4x100G DR1 Breakout applications, thereby significantly enhancing operational flexibility.
